The Candle Cottage in downtown Cable, Wisconsin carries over 35 different brands of candles, including many shapes, colors and sizes from Colonial Candles, Vance Kitira, and Candle Cottage's own line. History In 1980, The Gallery opened as an artist guild. Soon after, Seddy Cogswell acquired the place and ran it as an art gallery until 1992. The Vanderploegs then took over in 1993 and changed the name to Whispering Pines Gift and Gallery. In 1995, the Christmas Attic was built above the original Gallery building. In 2008, the Candle Cottage was established next door. These three stores offer customers a vast selection of original artwork from local artists in addition to many unique Northwoods-themed gifts and a full selection of greeting cards.
